Heavy industry and mineral beneficiation are inherently large, energy-intensive operations. At Miryıldız Mining, protecting the Earth’s ecological balance while meeting global demand for raw materials is a fundamental strategic priority. We are therefore building solar power infrastructure with our own resources to draw the energy needed by our plants and extensive machinery fleet from nature.
Equipped with high-efficiency photovoltaic panels and advanced inverters, our solar sites are strategically integrated into regions containing our open pits and concentrator plants. The systems at the heart of production, from crushing and grinding circuits to flotation cells, are directly supplied by this clean, renewable energy that we generate ourselves.
This strategic investment is both an environmental responsibility initiative and a guarantee of operational independence. By generating our own energy, we protect production costs against global energy fluctuations and establish the autonomy needed to keep our plants running continuously.
Industrial Decarbonisation and Smart Grid Management
Solar generation and consumption data are continuously monitored through our central energy management automation. Smart grid architecture delivers solar power to beneficiation processes with maximum efficiency. This integration prevents production-line fluctuations, extends machinery life and minimises energy losses.
Miryıldız takes an active, measurable role in tackling climate change, one of mining’s greatest global challenges. Our solar projects sharply reduce the share of fossil fuels and grid electricity consumed in production, preventing thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere each year.
